Director Jonathan Demme has returned in full force, taking on Stephen King’s new novel “11/23/63.” Unfortunately for the rest of us, the novel does not hit the shelves until Nov. 8. In the latest installment from the master of the macabre, the story revolves around a Maine school teacher who is cast back in time amid the plot of the Kennedy assassination in November of 1963.
Jonathan Demme is best known for his Oscar winning direction in “Philadelphia” and “Silence of the Lambs.”
Demme is slated not only as director, but also as writer and producer in this project, along with Stephen King also serving as executive producer. As of now, no casting information has been released. However, with the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy’s assassination on the horizon, a 2013 release would not be unfounded.
