The Walking Dead: New Poster

AMC has released a new promotional poster for The Walking Dead, their highly anticipated new television series which is set to premiere on Halloween night. The Walking Dead is an adaption of Robert Kirkman’s beloved post-apocalyptic zombie series of the same title. The series revolves around a group of survivors as they travel from town to town in search of shelter. The Walking Dead is being produced, and partially directed, by Frank Darabont, the mastermind behind the film-adaptions of Stephen King’s The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist.

The clips feature the main character, Rick (Andrew Lincoln), in what looks to be the opening scenes of the pilot. The Walking Dead: Comic-Con Trailer Released

This morning has been filled with 2 Walking Dead announcements so far. The First being the teaser image for the next comic arc, and the second being the release of the official The Walking Dead series trailer.
The Walking Dead premiers October 31st at 10 P.M./9C. So you’ll have enough time to go out and get all your trick ‘r’ treating done and get home to enjoy the 90 minute brain munching premier.

The Walking Dead: Behind the Scenes

Barricade your houses, stock up on supplies and prepare yourself because The Walking Dead are coming to AMC and you won’t want to miss it. The Walking Dead is directed by Frank Darabont and based on the hugely popular comics written by Robert Kirkman, is centered around Rick Grimes (portrayed by Andrew Lincoln) and a group of survivors trying to get by in a world stricken by a zombie plague. The story explores the human challenges and emotions of a world overrun by zombies, and how sometimes humans can be a greater danger to themselves than the undead.
Production for the show began in June in Atlanta and so far AMC has ordered six episodes as part of its first season this marks the fourth of AMC’s original series; the first three being Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and Rubicon. AMC will premiere The Walking Dead during its annual “Fearfest” marathon of horror in October.
Personally, I have had many geekgasams watching this show develop over the last two months and can’t wait for October to come.
