Yes folks, this is confirmed! Tenacious D will perform at BlizzCon 2010. The hilarious musical stylings of Jack Black and Kyle Gass will wrap up the 2 day event in epic fashion.

“The best way to wrap up two days of epic entertainment is with an epic rock concert—and few bands fit the bill like Tenacious D. We’re looking forward to a great show and can’t wait to see what Jack and Kyle have in store for everyone attending BlizzCon and watching from home.” – Mike Morhaime, Blizzard CEO and cofounder.

Honestly, this news has doubled my excitement for BlizzCon. What do you all think?

To have a peek at what’s in store for BlizzCon 2010, here’s a video of Tenacious D rocking out with Dave Grohl:

Can you feel it? BlizzCon is less than two months away! Blizzard has announced that signups for the BlizzCon 2010 Dance and Costume contests have been opened and will remain open until October 4. For those of you who have never been to BlizzCon these contests are arguably two of the most entertaining events of the con, for those of you who have been, you know what I’m talking about!

If you are attending BlizzCon and think and have what it takes to win a piece of the $25,000 prize pool, sign up for the dance and costume contests and find out!
